The National Mini Show which is held at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire is one of the main shows of the year Held in September it is a great show with a chance to meet hundreds of other Mini enthusiasts who attend along with plenty of trade stands to spend your money on, concourse cars to admire and club displays to look at Although this is an early start for members usually about 6.00am it always attracts a good turnout.
This show is held in July and is a well-attended local show. With lots of displays to look at from Vintage cars, and motorcycles, to buses and lorries. The Show is one that all the family can enjoy, with not only vehicle displays and parades but also dancers, cheer leaders, archery, jazz band, children’s rides and Punch and Judy and finishing with a historic flypast.
Some other shows we have attended in the past include ‘The Rally Show’ at Chatsworth, ‘Gaydon’, ‘Mini in the Park’, ‘Waddington Air Show’ with Mini Chaos, ‘Thoresby Hall Mini Show’, and ‘Normanby Hall’......
Since 2004 the club has run its own annual 'Bakewell Run' which starts at Bank End farm with Bacon sandwiches followed by taking the back roads into Derbyshire with a couple of stops for food and drink one of which around midday is at Bakewell. We now also have a summer run to Whitby for fish and chips A number of our members also take part in the ‘H2H Run’, the 'London to Brighton Run' and the Thistle Run'

Several of our members are very keen on motor sport and regularly attend race meetings at different venues throughout the country. As a club we also try and attend at least a couple of meeting each year with the most popular circuits being Rockingham Speedway, Donnington Park, Silverstone, and Cadwell Park.
On top of these we have also been to Santa Pod, Blyton Raceway to watch Rally Cross and Chatsworth Park to watch stage rallying.
Through the winter when there are no shows or race meetings taking place ‘Itsaminithing’ arranges a variety of social events to allow members to keep in touch and do something of interest. In addition to our annual social events which are our ‘Christmas Meal’, and ‘Bowling’, we have also had runs out to The Oxford Mini factory, Cadbury's World and Eden Camp, Gone Go Karting, watched Greyhound racing, had picnics at Clumber Park, and gone to the Maize maze at Hatfield Woodhouse. In 2011 we also were involved in a special social event – ‘Nic& Andy’s wedding’ photos of which are in the photo gallery.
